My first dream job was to be a detective like Nancy Drew. To this day, I create scavenger hunts for my family and friends every summer.
Later on, I decided my calling was to be a mathematician. I find calculus to be the best way to clear my mind. Nothing is more centering than analyzing and searching for the solution to a problem.
A college application once asked me, “What is your wildest dream job?” to which I replied, “Ballet dancer by day, Nicholas Cage’s character in National Treasure by night.” I did not get an acceptance letter.
Though the above career paths didn’t pan out the way I had planned, I have found that my passions for mystery and problem solving come in handy .
